- The AI story leaves out plumbers, dental offices, coaches, veterans, and civic workers — our workforce.
- Prometheus operates as three disciplines: Deploy AI · Train People · Run Infrastructure.
- Voice AI is the front door — the first surface where AI meets real customers on a real phone line.
- The mistake we refuse to make: replacing people. AI here augments the workforce keeping America running.
- We're looking for partners — civic institutions, service businesses, and educators — not customers to bill.
The workforce we're actually talking about.
The AI conversation in America has been dominated by two stories. One is about knowledge workers in San Francisco and New York — will they lose their jobs, and if so, when. The other is about researchers and companies in the same cities — how fast can we scale, and what does frontier AI look like.
Both stories matter. Neither is the story of the workforce Metis Khemis and Prometheus AI Group serve every day. Our workforce is the plumber in Poway. The dental office in Escondido. The soccer coach in San Marcos. The veteran caseworker in Oceanside. The Navy contractor in Point Loma. The city clerk in Chula Vista.
These people are not waiting for AI. AI is arriving in their lives — through the customer on the other end of the phone, the software their office uses, the tools their competitors deploy. The question isn't will AI change their work. It's who's going to help them make that change on their terms.
"Voice AI that serves the businesses, the veterans, and the civic institutions keeping America running — the ones who can't afford to miss a single call, and can't afford to hire another person to answer them."
The Prometheus thesis: Deploy AI. Train People. Run Infrastructure.
The three-line thesis under Prometheus AI Group is deliberate. Each line is a discipline. Together they are the operating system for AI in the workforce we serve.
Deploy AI
This is Metis Khemis. Voice AI, workflow AI, decision-support AI — deployed inside real businesses to solve real problems, not built as generic platforms and sold as subscriptions. Every deployment is scoped, trained, integrated, and reviewed by humans. No self-serve. No shortcuts. Real customers, real numbers.
Train People
This is the education work — from summer camps for kids who want to build AI, to workforce transformation programs for adults whose jobs are changing, to executive briefings for leaders navigating the shift. The bet is simple: the people who will benefit most from AI are the people trained to use it, deploy it, and reason about it. Training is not a cost center. It's a strategic moat for the workforce.
Run Infrastructure
This is the deeper Prometheus play — the platforms, protocols, and data infrastructure that let AI be deployed responsibly at the scale of the workforce we serve. Metadata provenance. Access governance. Identity and platform-control systems. This is the boring, load-bearing work that lets the front-end work matter.
Why voice AI is the front door.
Voice AI is the most obvious front door to this larger thesis, and it's not close. Here's why:
- Phones are universal. Every business, every family, every institution has a phone. If AI can help there, it helps everywhere.
- The ROI is immediate. Missed calls are a measurable, painful cost. Voice AI recovers them in weeks. There's no six-month adoption curve.
- It's a training surface. Deploying a voice AI agent teaches a small business team about escalation rules, data handling, and human-in-the-loop review — the same disciplines they'll need for every future AI deployment.
- It's mission-aligned. The businesses and institutions most helped by voice AI are the ones least served by the AI industry's dominant customers. Serving them is where we start.
Veterans, education, and the civic layer.
Metis Khemis and Prometheus AI Group have three deep verticals beyond the SMB market that shape our thinking:
Veterans
Voice AI has a role in veteran service delivery that is nearly impossible to overstate. The VANC deployment is one example. Crisis-line triage, benefits navigation, peer-connection routing, community-services intake — the volume is enormous, the stakes are high, and every call answered on the first ring is a life served better. This work will be a major thread of everything we build in the next three years.
Education
Education is our deepest vertical. From NCSP's family-inquiry work to Poway's PLTW capstone advisory, from AI/STEM summer camps to workforce transformation for high-school and community-college systems — the education thread is where deploying AI, training people, and running infrastructure most obviously converge. If AI does not benefit the education layer of America, it does not benefit America.
Civic institutions
Local governments, public safety, community-service nonprofits. The organizations most trusted by the communities we live in are often the ones with the fewest resources to modernize their service delivery. Voice AI can be a wedge that gives a small city or a regional nonprofit the capability of a much larger organization — without changing what they are.
The mistake we refuse to make.
The dominant AI narrative in 2026 is scale-first, replace-humans, ship-fast, ask-forgiveness. That narrative works fine for consumer chatbots and knowledge-worker productivity. It does not work for the workforce we serve.
The workforce we serve requires the opposite disciplines. Trust-first. Augment-humans. Ship-carefully. Ask-permission. Not because the technology should be slower, but because the relationships are more important than the technology, and every deployment either strengthens those relationships or erodes them.
Every product decision at Metis Khemis and Prometheus AI Group is filtered through that lens. It's why we retired the self-serve SaaS. It's why every engagement involves human review before, during, and after deployment. It's why our guides are ungated and our case studies lead with numbers.
What we're building next.
The near-term roadmap for Metis Khemis and Prometheus AI Group has three threads:
- MetisPro depth — richer integrations, deeper industry training, cleaner analytics, custom voices, HIPAA-ready deployments
- Vertical guides + playbooks — the guide you're reading is one of the first. Home services, government, medical, veterans, education, and defense will each get a flagship guide over the next twelve months
- The training layer — a workforce-facing education path that turns operators, caseworkers, and civic-institution leaders into confident AI deployers themselves
Who we're looking to work with.
If you are running a small or growing business that loses revenue to voicemail — we want to help.
If you are leading a public-sector office, a veteran service organization, or a mission-driven nonprofit — we want to help.
If you are a university, a school district, or an education-focused organization thinking about how AI shows up in your work — we want to talk.
If you are a defense contractor, government agency, or infrastructure operator with a specific voice-AI or workflow-AI need that requires care — we have the deployment discipline, the governance model, and the mission-alignment for that work.
